Superman. Super Bowl. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. There are very few things in the English language that justify the distinction of being “super.”
Maserati is ready to add a new submission to the list: the Maserati MC20, the brand’s first super sports car in over 15 years. It’s also undeniably the fastest thing to hit the highways around Willow Grove, Abington, and Horsham in a very long time.
It’s available at Faulkner Maserati Willow Grove, and drivers looking to strap into this audacious feat of Italian engineering can start by reading our Maserati MC20 review.
Audacious Is Just the Start
We won’t bore you with lots of imagery. Instead, we’ll let the MC20 speak for itself:
Twin turbo 3.0L V6 Nettuno engine with patented racing-derived technology
621 maximum horsepower
0 to 62 MPH in a head-snapping 2.9 seconds
Capable of reaching a maximum speed of 202 MPH
Born in the hills of Modeno, Italy—the epicenter of European racing—the Maserati MC20’s engine comes wrapped in a Dallara race-car chassis and custom monocoque body. In fact, this is the first Maserati ever to sport a carbon fiber frame.
This allows the MC20 to weigh in at a feather-light 3,306 lbs. This gives it a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio, allowing you to reach your personal limits with nothing to hold you back. Thanks to its high-torsional and bending stiffness, it’s also one of the strongest and most aerodynamic sports cars on the roads today.
To manage its supreme level of rev, Maserati pairs its V6 to a special MC20 DCT 8-speed gearbox. Supplying a mechanical or optional electronic limited-slip differential, it lets you burst off the starting line without leaving a cloud behind you.
When the streets are less-than-track-ready, the optional suspension lifter keeps you cruising at the perfect ride height. Once you reach highway speeds, it automatically returns the vehicle to normal height, so you’ll never miss an opportunity to dominate.
Whatever your day has in store, the Maserati MC20 can adapt to your changing needs. Its four bespoke driving modes allow you to toggle back and forth with the press of a button. Driving modes include GT, Sport, Corsa, and Wet.
Like Italian art? Start with the Maserati MC20’s standard paint job. Dubbed “Bianco Audace,” it resembles the color of sun-bleached marble. Desire a different palette? Maserati offers six distinct colors in all.
Lift open the butterfly wing doors and the MC20 almost resembles the famous Monteverde Angel of Genoa. Slip behind the wheel and you’ll quickly realize this work of art comes fully modernized.
“Essentials only” is the interior design concept that went into creating this luxury coupe. Appointed with the finest Alcantara® leather and carbon fiber, it manages both to comfort and excite the senses. In fact, its standard racing seats provide best-in-class ergonomics for those long escapes.
Fully digitalized, its customizable instrument panel and touchscreen display allow you to seamlessly sync your smartphone device. To provide the perfect soundtrack, Maserati even includes a special Sonus faber high-premium audio system.
